slamming out the tunnel
going whop-pop onto the high tracks

Me riding the sky
in the heart of the inner city
Over the whole burnt
and rusted country

Unseen
Unknown
Making the art of the backstreets talk

The trains go rattling over
garbagy Streets
Past the dead-eye windows of
empty tenements

That have people living there
Even if you don’t see them

Now, see
Our tags
Our cartoon figures
Bright and Rhyming poems

Our art that can’t stand still
Climbing across your eyeballs
Night and Day

Flashing those colors in your face
The flickery jumping art
of slums and dumpsters
As if
they were your movie
Motherfucker

கல்யானைகள் மதம்பிடித்து
அலைகின்றன இரை எடுக்க
சித்தரின் சிரிப்பையும் கரும்பையும்
உதாசீனம் செய்து.

சித்தரோ எனில்
புன்னகை துறந்து
பொன்னணையாளின்
நம்பிக்கையுடனும் பொன்னுடனும்
நீங்குகிறார் திருப்பூவனம்.

எதிர் ஏற முடியாமல்
தத்தளிக்கின்றன ஏடுகள்
திரு ஏடகத்தில்.

பிரம்மாண்டமான ஆலவாய்க்
கோவில் பிரகாரங்களில்
கொலையும் சூதும் மணமும் பேசி முடித்து
நீண்ட பகலில் உறங்குகிறார்கள் 
கல்தளங்களில்
இருண்ட மனிதர்கள்.

ஓடுகாலில் கொலையுண்ட
அடையாளம் அற்றவனின்
அங்காத்த வாயில் 
படிந்து செல்கிறது
வையை மணல்
பயணமாய்.


This Moment

Spurning 
The Ascetic's smile and cane
Stone elephants in rut
roam in search of prey.

The Ascetic meanwhile
renounces laughter and 
removes to Thirupuvanam
with Ponnanaiyaal's
Faith and Gold.

Unable to tide against the current
the palmyra-scripts bob helplessly
in Thiruvedakam.

In Madura's massive temple 
courtyards of stone
Dark saturnine men
sleep through the long day
Having shaken hands on
Murder, Plots, and Matrimony. 

Through the gaping mouth
of the murdered 
Anonymous runaway
wend the journeying
Sands of Vaikai.
